Among the vast collections in the Department of Graphic Art of the Province of Upper Austria in the OÖ Landes-Kultur GmbH, the historical Upper Austrian vedute are an essential part. The collection currently comprises over 5000 works on paper and is of particular importance in terms of art and cultural history. It contains drawings, watercolour paintings and prints that depict the various landscapes, settlements, castles, churches and other buildings in Upper Austria. There are pictures of almost all Upper Austrian towns and places. The historically and topographically informative pictorial material forms the basis for investigations into the history of architecture and art, but is also often requested and used for exhibitions and book illustrations.
